Stone Soup PDX is a nonprofit restaurant training those at risk of homelessness for careers in the food & hospitality industry. We train through a 14 week training program that offers both technical and interpersonal skills to give graduates the means to obtain and retain employment.

We'll go into detail about our training program, but also offer some ways that RPCVs can get involved, either through volunteering or just ordering food and/or soup from us, which helps support our training program.

Craig: Quick to serve your favorite beverage or put on great tunes, Craig likes to entertain just as much as he loves making an impact. No stranger to helping, he has developed communities and offered a hand up across three continents.
Ronit: International development expert focusing on food security, nutrition and hunger issues. In love with all things food. Ronit was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal from 1998 to 2001.

Welcome to PPCA!

The Portland Peace Corps Association, or PPCA, is the northwest Oregon and southwest Washington area chapter of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. We are a diverse group of natives, transplants, old, young, all bound by having served our country as volunteers, and working together to continue promoting the Peace Corps. PPCA works to support current volunteers and serves our communities in the shared values the organization was founded on back in 1963.

Our group was formerly known as the Columbia River Valley Peace Corps Association, so perhaps you know us by that name - whatever you call us, we hope to see you in person at one of our events some day soon! This site is a hub for PPCA information, and a work in progress, so please reach out if anything needs changing or updating by emailing us  at webmaster@portlandpeacecorps.org.
