Kelli served as a Peace Corps Volunteer working with youth and communities in HIV/AIDS prevention in Botswana from 2010 to 2012 after getting her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then taught a program called Preparation for Adult Living to youth aging out of foster care in Central Texas. In 2015, Kelli did a Peace Corps Response service in Guyana running an after-school program that taught life skills and literacy. She went on to teach HIV Outreach Workers and HIV Early Intervention Case Managers across the state of Texas continuing education on topics including HIV, Hepatitis, STIs, Harm Reduction and street outreach. While she lived in Texas, she was a board member of the Heart of Texas Peace Corps Association. Kelli moved to Portland in 2021. She now works for the county in their Harm Reduction and Syringe Exchange Program.
